Iconic 70's Fashion That You Probably Have in Your Closet Right Now

The 70’s were a groovier time that allowed one's personality and creativity to be showcased through there fashion. Luckily for us, some of those fashions have managed to transcend space and time and can still be seen in today’s fashion. We have compiled a list of iconic 70’s pieces that can help you pull your 70’s look together and that you can totally wear throughout the rest of the year.

  • The wrap dress - shot to fashion icon status in the 70’s but is a timeless wardrobe staple. To give this piece a more retro flair, look for ruffled sleeves or a funkier pattern.

  • Anything tie-dye - tie-dye did not originate in the 70’s but it is definitely goes hand and hand with that time period. Tie-dye clothing can be found in several styles and variations. You couldn't go wrong with this selection back then and that still remains to be true to this day.

  • Peasant blouses - peasant blouses were all the rave in the 70’s and can still be found today in many department stores. To give this piece a more retro flair, go all out with your accessories (ie. big jewelry, oversized glasses, headband, etc.).

  • Bell bottoms - Need we say more?!? Bell bottoms like tie-dye are one of the decades most defining pieces. Bell bottoms can be dressed up with a blouse (hello, Charlie’s Angels) or down with a t-shirt (think that 70’s show).

This list is by no means exhaustive, we could go on and on and on about 70’s fashion pieces but we would love to hear from you. What pieces scream out iconic 70’s but can still be seen in your wardrobe today?
