SECTION 8 INSPECTOR & LANDLORD TRAINING ON HQS (HOUSING QUALITY STANDARDS): MARCH 23-24, 2022
HQS are the HUD minimum quality standards for tenant-based programs, required both at initial occupancy and during the term of the lease. Maintain strong ties between inspectors and landlords by ensuring that both thoroughly understand the required elements of HQS. The workshop will provide current information on general room standards, kitchens, bathrooms, electricity, plumbing, and security, including the lead-based paint regulations. Also, during this workshop, the trainers will instruct the Landlord on the correct way to complete all necessary paperwork needed. The landlord will be able to ask any questions concerning the voucher process.

HCV & PH CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING: MARCH 23-24, 2022
NMA consultant Adam Ensalaco will lead a two-day training that will provide you with the knowledge, ideas and strategies to improve customer service delivery of indiviudal staff, management, and the organization as a whole including: Understanding the importance of customer service in the public service context, Understanding that participants and applicants are the PHAs customers, Speaking, listening, and asking questions effectively, Dealing with upset customers, Interviewing persons with disabilities, and Creating a customer service environment. Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to improve the quality of customer service in their programs, identify barriers to customer service and develop strategies to remove them, apply ideas and tools to improve the quality of customer service delivery and job satisfaction and much more!
