President’s Message

Happy New Year! 2020 is here and is full of knowledge-based, action packed training that is sure to enhance your knowledge in your agencies and in the communities that you serve.

SERSHA invites you to the 2020 Spring Conference which will take place in the Port City of Wilmington, NC beginning Wednesday, March 25, 2020 through Thursday, March 26, 2020. SERSHA Conferences provide an opportunity to learn, meet, greet, network, and share ideas/concerns as it relates to Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

We start the New Year off with a two-day training session designed to address enhanced programs offered through the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program. The Homeownership and Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Training instructed by Mr. Dennis Morgan, will provide Housing Agencies administering Homeownership and/or FSS Programs with the skill set needed to effectively run these types of programs. SERSHA will also offer a two-day Section 8 Inspector and Landlord Training instructed by Mr. Randy Allen, which will provide attendees with updates and upcoming changes in Housing Quality Standards. For the first time, SERSHA is infusing this class with Landlord Training which will provide educational insight to landlords, property managers, and private owners in the areas related to the HCV Program. We have set the stage for a very informative, exciting, and memorable conference, we are sure you will love.
